Job description

The Propane Service Technician is asked to perform a variety of tasks. Tasks will include performing service calls, new customer set ups, gas safety checks, and assisting delivery drivers when needed. Service areas consist of Harrison, Floyd, and Clark counties. On the job training and certifications are provided. Class A or B CDL is required. Ability to obtain hazmat endorsement is also required.

Candidates must be willing to work extended hours, 6 to 7 days a week in the busy seasons.

 

Responsibilities

  • Load, secure, unload and deliver liquid propane tanks to and from multiple locations and/or customer homes
  • Follow service schedule
  • Prepare, inspect and operate a service vehicle
  • Perform service calls
  • Collect payments
  • Inform customers about new products and services
  • Complete logs and reports
  • Follow DOT regulations and safety standards

 

Physical Requirements

  • Climbing in and out of service truck
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs
  • Bending, lifting, twisting, walking
  • Able to work in the outdoor elements

Salary:

  • $18.00 – $20.00 per hour
