Job description

The Crops Department Service Technician is asked to perform a wide variety of tasks. Tasks may include hauling agricultural products to customer locations, loading and unloading of products, general maintenance of equipment, and any other duties as needed. Providing quality service to our crops customers in a timely and professional manner is our top priority.

Candidates must be willing to work extended hours, 6 to 7 days a week during busy seasons. Must be willing and able to obtain a Class A or B CDL within six months of employment.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Load, handle, and apply dry and liquid fertilizer, lime and crop protection products (chemicals)
  • Fill NH3 tanks (Anhydrous Ammonia)
  • Deliver NH3 tanks to customer locations
  • Deliver dry or liquid fertilizer to Applicator in customers fields
  • Maintain accurate records of product delivery
  • Maintain trucks and equipment
  • Maintain shop and grounds
  • Other duties may be assigned

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Climbing in and out of equipment
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs
  • Bending, lifting, twisting, walking
  • Ability to work in the outdoor elements

 

Job Type:

  • Full-time

 

Salary:

  • $17.00 – $18.00 per hour
